Finally, some goals! Cristiano Ronaldo has just put Real Madrid two to the good with an emphatic left-footed finish from just outside the box. Real Sociedad, and Tamudo in particular, won’t be too happy with that one as they really should have levelled on 8 minutes, but that is invariably what happens when you fail to take your chances at the Bernabeu.

Strange celebration from Ronaldo who didn’t seem overly happy after scoring, but having not found the net in the league for a couple of weeks, and Messi overtaking him in the race for the Pichichi, it was just his surly way of saying ‘about time’. Real Sociedad had another chance to pull one back just after Ronaldos effort, but Antione Griezmann volleyed into the ground and over the bar when he should have at least found the target.
Could be a long night for Real Sociedad at this rate.
