CSKA Moscow have found themselves in a serious mess and now face a large uphill climb to get to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League. FC Porto have snatched a valuable away win at the Luzhniki Stadium, defeating CSKA 1-0 with a second half goal, scored by Fredy Guarin. The Colombian midfielder had a very good game in midfield, capped off by a nice strike from the edge of the penalty area in the 70th minute. Check out the video:

CSKA created a variety of opportunities in the first half, but they were largely shut out in the second half by a Porto team who improved as the game went on. The visitors should now be very heavy favorites to advance in the home leg, at a stadium that will feature much warmer weather and a much better playing surface. Away ties against Russian teams are usually tricky for foreign clubs, but Porto defied the odds with a win today, and they should be sailing through to the quarterfinals.
