A crowd in the neighborhood of 37 people were on hand to witness Chris Wondowlowski be the best goalscorer in the history of MLS (or something) and lead the San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-0 over FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park.
San Jose Defeats FC Dallas 2-0 At Pizza Hut Park, “Home Field Advantage” Not Enough To See Home Side Through
FC Dallas looked little like the MLS Cup contender of last season, giving Wondolowski far too much space on multiple occasions and offering very little in resistance in terms of providing an attacking threat.
It was a poor showing for an FC Dallas team that was considered by some to be legitimate challengers for the Supporters Shield, and while the goal is still far from out of reach this sort of effort will do little to bolster their chances. To add insult to injury, after a positive week-one crowd that saw Dallas break the 20,000 mark in attendance things appeared to be back to normal at Pizza Hut Park, with empty seats dominating the landscape on an altogether miserable evening for the club.
