Visitors Manchester City will have to use the interval to regroup after being blown off the pitch by Liverpool in the first half to their match at Anfield. Roberto Mancini's side find themselves 3-0 down and minus their captain Carlos Tevez to what appears to be a serious hamstring injury, and it's probably far too late to come back into the match. About all they can hope for is not to embarrass themselves further (I guess they can also hope that Tevez hasn't torn his hamstring as feared, too).
Liverpool Vs. Manchester City: 3-0 Liverpool At Half Time
Liverpool, for their part, have been little short of phenomenal. Andy Carroll has scored his first and second goals for the club, the defence is playing adequately, and the movement of the midfield and Luis Suarez has been excellent. City simply can't keep up with the runs they're making, and their usually compact, organised defence is looking like a hopeless shambles against the Liverpool attack. The Reds' investment in Carroll and Suarez is, at least for today, looking very wise indeed.
