LDU Quito Vs. Godoy Cruz: 0-0 Halftime, Hosts Executing Well

All LDU Quito need to do to advance is hold Godoy Cruz to a draw, and it’s fairly obvious that they intend on getting out of their match with just a draw. They’re not completely negative, but they are certainly conservative by their normal standards, and they’ll think of the 0-0 halftime scoreline as a success. If that score holds, they will be the seventh team to secure passage into the knockout stages of Copa Libertadores.

La Liga’s goalkeeper Alexander Dominguez might as well be picking flowers behind the goal, as Godoy Cruz don’t seem too intent on testing him. Despite the fact that this game has a lot riding on it and Godoy Cruz need a win, they don’t exactly look like a team that knows they absolutely must score a goal. Hopefully, manager Jorge da Silva will make some halftime changes and Godoy Cruz will come out with much more attacking intent in the second half.
