We've reached half time at BMO field and the early lead established by DC United thanks to goals by Chris Pontius and Charlie Davies has held up. Toronto FC began terribly, but after that disastrous start they've gotten themselves back into the game and probably ought to have reduced the deficit. Although they've looked dangerous in limited chances (substitute Nana Attakora just volleyed well wide while completely open after a corner - he should have used his right foot), they're still down 2-0 at home and have lost starting centre half Adrian Cann to a suspected broken rib.
Toronto FC Vs. DC United: 2-0 To DC At Halftime
Without having scored to make it 2-1, Toronto are probably staring a loss square in the face here. I’d guess DC are good for at least another goal in the second half, so if they are going to come back they’re going to have to score very early to do it. DC look like they’re on course to stake a brief claim to second place in the East after this one.
