Neither team has really shown much initiative as the Columbus Crew and Sporting Kansas City head into halftime tied 0-0 on Saturday. The conditions have probably contributed to the relatively inactive half, as rain has been coming down throughout and the stands are sparsely populated.
Columbus Crew Vs. Sporting Kansas City: Scoreless At Halftime
On the plus side, MLS’s beta website does have some halftime numbers that we can at least discuss. The two teams have basically split possession, with the Crew holding a slight 52-48 advantage. The Crew have also been slightly less accurate with their passing, completing 70 percent of their passes, as compared to SKC’s 68 percent.
Quite frankly, though, there’s not much to talk about in this one. The Crew seem intent on being one of the most boring teams in the league, as they seem perfectly content to play for their third tie of the young season. SKC, meanwhile, could be excused for settling for the tie, as they are now on Game 4 of their season-opening 10-game road trip and should be happy to claim any points they can.
