Portland Timbers Vs. FC Dallas: Jewsbury Puts Portland Up 1-0

Thanks to a quick retake after a foul by Zach Loyd, the Portland Timbers were able to get up 1-0 on FC Dallas in the 13th minute of the game. Timbers captain Jack Jewsbury was able to hammer home a shot as he was played into the box. Jewsbury found some extra room in the penalty box and hit a shot off the post, which then hit off FC Dallas keeper Kevin Hartman to go into the back of the net.

Before the play FC Dallas had a decent amount of the possession and were getting a couple decent chances on Jake Gleeson's goal.

Portland couldn’t have asked for a better start to the game to get their rowdy crowd into the game even more. It will be interesting to see if FC Dallas can find a way to respond to this goal or if it will be another long day for the Toros.
