After FC Dallas held long spells of possession and created a couple chances on goal, it was the counter attack and corner kicks that did Dallas in yet again as Kenny Cooper was able to get on the end of a Jack Jewsbury corner kick for the game's second goal.
Portland Timbers Vs. FC Dallas: Cooper Scores Against His Old Club
Dallas had seen the better of the chances on goal but as Portland was able to brush away a David Ferreira chance, the Timbers raced up field and pressured the Dallas backline into another corner kick. Cooper made sure to get on the end of it as he pushed off Ugo Ihemelu and headed a floater over Kevin Hartman's head.
Cooper gets his second goal of the season after he had a goal called back the other night against the Chicago Fire. He thought he scored off a Jewsbury corner Thursday night but it was called back due to the ball going out of bounds.
