Unbelievably, Sporting Gijon have taken a 1-0 lead on Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Jose Mourinho’s shift to a true three man back line where the wide players are wingers, not wing backs, has seriously backfired as his team has been caught out on the counter-attack by Gijon after losing the ball. While neither team has really done enough to win this game, based on how poorly Madrid have played by their standards, they can hardly be mad at anyone but themselves for the score of the match.
