After Christian Chiu picked up a straight red card for his last man challenge on Alexandre Pato, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before Milan netted a second goal to take control of the match. Milan have been the slightly better and more ambitious team throughout, so it should come as no surprise that they’ve added to their lead against a shorthanded team.
AC Milan Vs. Internazionale: Pato Completes A Brace, Milan Cruising Against Ten Man Inter
This goal came off of a great team move, in which Milan moved the ball superbly without much challenge. The build-up was not something that typically happens against Inter, and it was obviously the product of the fact that they were playing with ten men. After an exchange of what seemed like about 20 passes, the ball was sprayed out to Ignazio Abate on the right hand side of the penalty area. He put in a great cross towards Pato, who lost his marker and hit an uncontested header into the back of the net. At this point, it looks like the Scudetto is no longer up for grabs.
