New York Red Bulls Vs. Houston Dynamo: Dwayne De Rosario Needs Just One Minute To Make Impact

Dwayne De Rosario's time with the New York Red Bulls has started in impressive fashion. About a minute after entering as a halftime substitute for Mehdi Ballouchy, De Rosario sent a perfect throughball to Dane Richards, who was able to beat Tally Hall far post to give the Red Bulls a 1-0 lead over the Houston Dynamo.

De Rosario got the ball just beyond the center line. He took one touch, looked up and spotted Richards who was streaking behind the defense. The pass hit Richards in stride and he raced in from the sideline, pulling away from Hunter Freeman.

The Dynamo, though, responded with a goal of their own just three minutes later. Cam Weaver beat Bouna Condoul on a breakaway after being sprung on a pass from Will Bruin. Weaver was able to collect the pass and one-touched it over the head of Condoul, who was forced to come off his line to try to make a play on the ball.
