Captain Carles Puyol makes his return to a Barcelona side in great need of defensive help, slotting in at left-back in place of the injured Adriano Correia. Partnering Gerard Pique at centre half, then, is ertswhile midfielder Javier Mascherano, while Dani Alves takes his usual position as Barcelona's spare right winger. Barcelona are very luck to have Puyol back, since they'd have been forced to play a partially fit Gabriel Milito at left back if the captain had remained unavailable.
