Branko Boskovic, DC United’s Designated Player, Will Be Out At Least 6 Months

“We are pleased that Branko has undergone successful surgery, and we expect him to make a full recovery over the coming months,” DC United General Manager Dave Kasper said in a team statement.

This likely means that Boskovic, who has never scored or registered an assist in 17 MLS matches, is out for at least several months and could, theoretically, spell the end of his MLS career. The Serbian had never quite lived up to his contract and it’s not hard to imagine that this could be his last season with United.
