It's 3-1 Houston Dynamo against DC United and Will Bruin has his hattrick. Like goal number two, this was a header after a neat cross from the left wing that saw DC United's defence fail to live up to their job descriptions - Bruin was able to simply outjump his markers and power home past a yet-again-exposed Bill Hamid for his third goal of the evening. For those counting, Bruin has increased his seasonal goal output by 400% today, which isn't too bad. Great work by the rookie in exposing DC's defensive mistakes.
Houston Dynamo Vs. DC United: Will Bruin Grabs Hattrick, Makes It 3-1
The visitors had had a couple of great chances to equalise prior to Bruin notching his hattrack, and Andrew Hainault (who conceded the free kick in the first half from which Marc Burch eventually scored) laid in an absolutely vital block to deny Chris Pontius, who's been DC United's best attacker today. Right now it's a battle between DC's really quite good attack and their abysmal defence for dominance, and defence is winning. Losing. Whatever.
