Napoli Vs. Lazio: Giuseppe Biava Red Card, Edinson Cavani Converts Resulting Penalty

A truly shocking event has transpired at the San Paolo, with Lazio conceding a penalty -- surprise face -- and a red card. Defender Giuseppe Biava elected to shove down Edinson Cavani inside the area, denying El Matador a clear goal scoring opportunity. The referee showed no hesitation in pulling out the red card, sending Biava off and pointing to the spot. Cavani stepped up to take the penalty, giving announcers everywhere the moment they'd dreamed about: Uruguay vs Uruguay.

Fernando Muslera had talked up the opportunity to go against Cavani earlier in the week, saying, "I know where he puts the ball. The problem is that he knows that I know." Well, Nando was outwitted this time. The Lazio keeper guessed incorrectly and Napoli forward put the ball in the back of the net, scoring his 24th goal on the season.

With Napoli back on level terms, it’s almost certain that Lazio will hunker down in an attempt to keep a point.
