I had just noted that I would like there to be at least one goal in this dull affair between Lecce and Udinese. To be perfectly honest, I had assumed that goal would come from Udinese, considering I can't remember the last time they didn't score a goal when both Alexis Sanchez and Antonio Di Natale were playing. Instead, it's Lecce that have the 1-0 lead, through a goal by Andrea Bertolacci. The youngster, on loan from Roma, has scored his second goal for Lecce, the first coming in the 2-0 win over Juventus.
Lecce Vs. Udinese: Lecce Lead Through A Goal By Andrea Bertolacci
Bertolacci picked up the ball and took off down the left flank, slipping easily through Mauricio Isla and Kwadwo Asamoah. Udinese defender Medhi Benatia made an interesting attempt to stop the ball, crawling along the ground while sticking out his leg, but nothing could stop the shot from Bertolacci, who easily fired it past Samir Handanovič and into the net.
Is it really possible that Udinese will lose this match? The zebrette have yet to lose in 2011, and it’s difficult to believe they’ll let go of that impressive stat without a fight. In fact, Udinese have just replaced Almen Abdi with Germán Denis in the hopes that another attacking player will rescue a point.
