FC Dallas vs Colorado Rapids: Halftime: Ferreira Adds Another For Dallas

2010 Major League Soccer MVP David Ferreira opened up his goal scoring account on the season with a cheeky flick over Matt Pickens in the 40th minute. Fabian Castillo played a nice through ball into the box where Ferreira was running on to it and the veteran flicked it over Pickens for the game's second goal.

Dallas as completely overwhelmed the Colorado Rapids so far in this one. With the previous goal from Ugo Ihemelu, Dallas is playing like the team most expected them to be at the start of the season. The wing play has been the difference tonight as Schellas Hyndman moved Brek Shea from the center back position to the left back in place of Jair Benitez, a move that is really working out well for the Toros.

Has Colorado looked this bad? Maybe, but not having Pablo Mastroeni in the midfield has certainly changed the way they are playing. Dallas is able to open things up much more on the flanks without Mastroeni out there. Their attack hasn't had much of a bite either as Jamie Smith has not been able to do much on the wings tonight while Sanna Nyassi continues to stay in foul trouble.

The bigger thing is seeing Ferreira play more freely in the middle tonight. That may be due to the play of Andrew Jacobson, who aside form a questionable yellow card has looked very well for them tonight.

FC Dallas 2 - 0 Colorado Rapids

Ihemelu (Chavez) 26’
Ferreira (Castillo) 40’
