Blame the cold weather, the shifts in lineups for both sides, or whatever. Neither FC Dallas or the Los Angeles Galaxy could find any sort of identity out there in the first 45 minutes. The possession battle in this one is probably 50-50 as LA had a couple decent chances from a couple David Beckham free kicks. Dallas on the other hand is putting some decent pressure on the Galaxy back line with Eric Avila filling in nicely for David Ferreira.
FC Dallas Vs. LA Galaxy: Halftime, Game Still Scoreless
Still neither club seemed to find their normal style of play in the first half. The Galaxy had some spurts of possession but never connected anything in the final third with Juan Pablo Angel or Chad Barrett. One guy who does appear to be dangerous for the Galaxy is Juninho, who is seemingly all over the place, winning 50-50 balls and putting a lot of pressure on Daniel Hernandez and Andrew Jacobson.
The best chances for Dallas came late in the half when they were winning multiple corner kick chances. Avila put in a couple good chances in the box that were brushed away by Donovan Ricketts in goal for the Galaxy. Fabian Castillo has put some good pressure on the Galaxy back line and saw a couple quality spots on goal.
One bad moment though for Dallas as Jair Benitez collided with Kevin Hartmen in the 33rd minute. His knee hit Hartman and he instantly went down in pain. Zach Loyd came on to replace him.
Still, with a 0-0 scoreline something has to change for both sides.
