With only a few minutes left in the match between the Los Angeles Galaxy and FC Dallas, thunder and lightning hit the Frisco area and the officials immediately called a weather delay on the game. The game was tied 1-1 in the 83rd minute.
FC Dallas Vs. Los Angeles Galaxy: Lightning Delay In The 83rd Minute
Heavy rain has been an issue in this game all evening. With temperatures in the mid-40s and heavy winds in the area, the rain is only making things worse. As halftime hit, the rains began to really come down and continued throughout the second half. Just as it seemed like the rain was going away, the lightning hit and then the thunder. Both teams left for the locker rooms and the stand cleared as well.
Both teams traded goals earlier in the second half with Fabian Castillo scoring his first MLS goal with FC Dallas in the 47th minute. Landon Donovan tied things up moments later for the Galaxy.
