Admit It: ECS’s Tifo Display Was Pretty Cool

Seattle Sounders fans take a fair amount of guff for their perceived arrogance. And I'm not going to pretend like at least some of that isn't deserved. But you really have to admit that ECS's tifo display before Saturday's Seattle Sounders-Portland Timbers match was pretty cool.

The nine-part display features players and coaches that represent ever era of professional soccer in Seattle. The NASL, USL, MLS and even the WPL team all represented by at least one of the six figures. I’ll let the actual supporters debate whether or not this sets a new standard, but it’s hard to imagine any other display matching this one in sheer size. Supposedly, ECS used more than an acre of fabric to construct it.

Whether or not it’s the best tifo display in MLS history, you can bet that the Timbers Army will come up with their own special display when these two teams meet on July 10.
