Colin Doyle’s Wife Chews Him Out For Drinking Session Via Twitter

Birmingham City are in the midst of a relegation battle that's heading to its climax, which seems like the perfect time for its goalkeepers to get blind drunk at an end-of-year dinner and stumble home at 4 AM, yes? Not if you're the wife of Colin Doyle, Becky, who went to the most appropriate place possible to vent her anger: Twitter.

F***d off with my husband getting in at 4am with fossy [Foster] and waking me up. Celebrate next week when your safe. Have some respect.

After deleting that tweet the next day, Mrs. Doyle’s irritation had hardly subsided, following up with, “so angry, what’s the point of Twitter if your not allowed to write what you want on it,” and the unforgettable, “Golf bag and clubs still for sale. Comes with one hung-over husband.”

What have we learned from this mess? Well, to be honest, I think we have learned three things

  1. Becky Doyle thinks a backup goalkeeper is somehow important to the team’s success
  2. She does not know the difference between ’“your” and “you’re”
  3. She appears to like Birmingham City quite a lot, which goes back to points one and two.
