Portland Timbers Vs. Columbus Crew: Lineups

JELD-WEN Field should be a rocking place once again tonight as the Portland Timbers host the Columbus Crew. This marks the first meeting ever between these sides in league play. The Crew are coming off a bad loss in San Jose last week while the Timbers are probably still buzzing from their 1-1 draw to their arch-rivals the Seattle Sounders.

John Spencer and Robert Warzycha have their lineups set and really there aren’t any real shockers to discuss between either side tonight. Portland looks to be going with their big offensive guns with rookie Darlington Nagbe, Kenny Cooper and Jorge Perlaza out there. Columbus does mix things up with rookie Tom Heinemann getting a start.

Portland Timbers Starting XI: Troy Perkins, Jeremy Hall, Eric Brunner, Mamadou "Futty" Danso, Rodney Wallace, Darlington Nagbe, Jack Jewsbury, Diego Chara, Kalif Alhassan, Kenny Cooper, Jorge Perlaza

Columbus Crew Starting XI: William Hesmer; Sebastian Miranda, Chad Marshall, Julius James, Rich Balchan; Eddie Gaven, Emmanuel Ekpo, Dejan Rusmir, Robbie Rogers; Tom Heinemann, Emilio Renteria.
