San Jose Earthquakes Vs. New England Revolution: Quakes Win Second Straight
Ellis McCloughan and Bobby Convey each scored for the Earthquakes, who have now turned in three straight quality performances since losing to the Philadelphia Union in a match in which they played up a man for more than a half. McCloughan's goal came off a nice cross from Chris Wondolowski. Convey's goal came on a free kick from about 20 yards out that he curled inside the far post.
The Revolution did pull within a goal when Chris Tierney scored in the 86th minute, but it wasn't enough to avoid their fourth loss of the season. Tierney scored on a free kick from about 25 yards out.
