Brad Davis has been a pain in the butt for FC Dallas and after 42 minutes it finally pays off. The Houston Dynamo go into halftime tied 1-1 thanks to a goal from Cam Weaver. The tall striker found space in the penalty box thanks to a great ball from Davis to bring the game on level terms.
Houston Dynamo Vs. FC Dallas: Weaver Ties Things Up Before Halftime
Dallas had taken the lead earlier in the half when Andrew Jacobson headed home a rebound off a Fabian Castillo shot that hit off the crossbar. Jacobson scored his first goal of the season and his first with FC Dallas.
The Dynamo have been dominating the possession game in this one. For the most part its largely due to Davis and what he’s been doing all over the field. His play on the wings have been causing problems for Dallas and it finally came together for Houston before the half with Weaver’s goal. Dallas will have to do a better job at defending Davis and the wing play in the second half.
As you’d expect this rivalry game has been pretty physical. Center official Terry Vaughn has already given out a couple hards to both teams but hasn’t called a foul that has caused any big play for either side. You’d expect even more physical play in the second half as the game wears on with two clubs that are playing their third game within the last week.
