They have played 45 minutes of soccer at Gillette Stadium and there isn't a ton to write about. The New England Revolution and Colorado Rapids did nothing overly exciting, although that's hardly a surprise considering the Revs' quality, a soaked turf field and the Rapids being forced to play without Conor Casey and Omar Cummings. The closest either team came to a goal was when Ryan Cochrane put a header off of the crossbar, but chances have been few and far between.
New England Revolution Vs. Colorado Rapids: First Half Ends Scoreless
The most surprising part of the first half might have been Benny Feilhaber actually tracking back, something that is rare from the midfielder. It wasn't the most vigorous of defending from Feilhaber, but it was something. Meanwhile, the Rapids have zero creativity in the midfield and they are out of strikers. Neither Casey nor Cummings are injured so they were left with just three healthy strikers, but Caleb Folan had to come off in the 30th minute with an injury. With Andre Akpan on for him now, the Rapids have no more strikers available.
