Getafe CF’s New Marketing Campaign Centers Around Crooning, Suicidal Koala Bear

La Liga club Getafe CF had a rough go of things this season, finishing just above the relegation zone, and under the new ownership of Royal Emirates Group they’re looking to rebuild their image. What better way to do so than to employ a clinically depressed, substance abuse addled, singing koala bear as the new face of the club?

If you’d ever hoped to see a threatened (and adorable) species swallow a bottle of pills or lock itself in a garage with a running car, Getafe is truly a club that should speak to you. In case images of attempted self-marsupialcide aren’t sufficient, you’ll also get to see him cut himself while shaving with an electric razor somehow. As if the visuals weren’t enough, here’s a translation of the last line of the lyrics:

Koala: Were you moved?
Guy: No.
Voiceover: GETAFE. Empty of feelings. Until next season.

Well. I know I can’t wait.
