Gary Neville’s First Pitch Skills Need Work

Former Manchester United right back Gary Neville is plenty good at signing autographs and standing around for the cameras. He's less good, however, at throwing baseballs, which we found out at US Cellular field ahead of Thursdays game between the Chicago White Sox and the visiting Oakland A's.

Don't quit your day job, Gary! Oh, wait, too late. On the plus side, he didn't actually hit any of the women his throw nearly landed on, so that's good. We'll take the small victories. He also pitched better than A's starter Trevor Cahill, although that's not saying much.

Apparently, Neville was there to promote the upcoming friendly match between the Chicago Fire and Manchester United (on July 23rd), and I'm 100% convinced that seeing a weedy looking man completely fail in an athletic endeavour will encourage all Chicagoans to watch the game. Right? Right.
