Once again, if you're a fan of the United States Men's National Team, I share this video with a warning: The contents are not pretty and should not be seen if you're already having a bad day. Unlike the highlights against Panama, though, these are from a victory -- one that secured a spot in the Gold Cup quarterfinals -- so, it's not all bad.
Highlights: USA A Bit Lucky To Get Past Guadeloupe
That doesn't make the contents any less disturbing, though. Aside from Jozy Altidore's beautiful strike, there are a lot of reasons to be very concerned about this team's mental makeup. There was no shortage of wonderful scoring opportunities and the one that went in wasn't even really a chance -- Altidore's strike came from almost 30 yards out and went through traffic.
The two biggest culprits were probably Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan, which is real cause for concern. Those are supposed to be the two best players on the team, and both are known for scoring big goals. If they are flailing, what hope do the rest of the players have?
