Video: Fredy Montero Wins It For Seattle Sounders

Coming off a week in which they were robbed of two points on Eric Hassli's wondergoal, the Seattle Sounders got a bit of redemption. This week, down a man and on the road, Fredy Montero ended his goalless streak with a 90th minute free kick from about 22 yards out.

The goal wasn't quite as pretty as Hassli's a week ago, but it was impressive nonetheless. Making the strike even more impressive was the fact that the Sounders were forced to play most of the second half down a man after Jhon Kennedy Hurtado was give a questionable second yellow.

The goal was Montero’s third of the year, but his first in his past six matches. Pressure had started to build considerably as he only recently returned from a benching when his coach, Sigi Schmid, basically called him out for not finding the back of the net. The goal also gave the Sounders their first win in their past three.
