In a piece of shocking news, Manchester City's owners have revealed that they don't want to sell one of their club's best players. Despite the fact that Carlos Tevez reportedly submitted a transfer request to the team on Monday, club chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak has no desire to sell his superstar striker, who is contracted to the club through 2014.

Of course, this is not the first time that Tevez has made a fuss about wanting to leave, so it’s tough to blame City for holding their ground. He’s done this before, and he’s changed his mind before. Tevez wants to be closer to his family, and that family has no desire to move to Manchester by all accounts. A move to Serie A is reportedly Tevez’s preferred destination, though he’d likely welcome a move back to Buenos Aires. However, there isn’t a single club in South America who can pay the price City supposedly has on the transfer of Tevez, which is believed to be in excess of £40m.
