Looks like Chivas USA is hoping to use their spot atop the MLS Allocation Order to chase Freddy Adu, who is currently in his final year with Benefica and might be available. Adu is currently in Philadelphia prepping for the United States Men's National Team's friendly against Mexico. The one-time supposed savior of U.S. soccer is also reportedly still exploring options in Europe where he's been playing since leaving MLS in 2007.
MLS Transfer Rumor: Chivas USA After Freddy Adu
The Goats have the top spot in the Allocation Order and are supposedly itching to use it on the 22-year-old midfielder.

Since signing with Portugal’s Benefica, he’s spent most of his time out on loan. He has appeared in 11 matches with Benefica, while playing for four other clubs around Europe, most recently with Rizespor of the Turkish second division.
More recently, Adu has breathed some life back into his career after some strong performances in the Gold Cup. The time could be ripe for the 22-year-old midfielder to return to the league that gave him his start. Chivas is in need of a creative player like Adu, and a signing like that could be a real shot in the arm.
