Jurgen Klinsmann may not have literally been hired to dance around the sidelines, but his celebration following Robbie Rogers' goal is actually a pretty good illustration of why United States National Team fans are excited about this new era. While Bob Bradley had a reputation for being almost robotic at times, Klinsmann is not afraid to show a little emotion.

Obviously, Klinsmann is going to have to be considerably more than a cheerleader to be considered a success. But this kind of display is refreshing from in a purely “gut” way.
If Bradley had been more successful, I don’t think anyone would have minded his lack of emotions. But that even keel is also what contributed to his critics underplaying the accomplishments he really did have.
Maybe it’s being overly harsh to say that if Bradley had enjoyed the exact same amount of success, but had done so while jumping up and down on the sideline then he’d still have a job. It’s not fair, but I do think there’s at least a shred of truth there.
