AC Milan eventually won the match, thanks to second half goals by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Rumors persist linking Sneijder to Manchester City and Manchester United, and there is a very real possibility that Sneijder’s goal on Saturday could have been his last in an Internazionale shirt. If it was, it’s a fantastic way to go out. Of course, a win and a trophy would have been the best way to go out, but beggars can’t be choosers.
It’ll be interesting to see how Milan get on without their superstar this season if he does depart. His arrival transformed them from a very good team into European champions, and his departure might have an adverse affect on the team.
Of course, he could not depart and keep doing this for Inter all season long.
