The Philadelphia Union and Columbus Crew have looked three steps below awful of late, but they still remain right in the thick of the playoff race. Sure, it's the Eastern Conference and therefor largely insignificant, but hey, who knows if they can get in and get hot to win the things. We're talking about the MLS playoffs. Weirder things have happened in the postseason.
Philadelphia Union Vs. Columbus Crew Live, 2011 MLS: Lineups
It's an amazingly young lineup for the Union with Zac MacMath, Sheanon Williams, Freddy Adu, Roger Torres and the Farfan all youngsters in the lineup. The highlight though is Zach Pfeffer, the Union's academy and homegrown 16-year-old making his first professional appearance tonight. Hopefully he can avoid the tackle/crunch duo of Danny O'Rourke and Dejan Rusmir in the midfield.
Philadelphia Union (4-4-2): Zac MacMath; Gabriel Farfan, Danny Califf, Carlos Valdes, Sheanon Williams; Brian Carroll, Freddy Adu, Roger Torres, Zach Pfeffer; Sebastien Le Toux, Michael Farfan
