FC Dallas Vs New York Red Bulls: Halftime, Rodgers Puts Red Bulls Up 1-0

After squandering the bulk of the possession and chances in the first half, the New York Red Bulls found a bit of luck from forward Luke Rodgers in the 38th minute. Rodgers finished off a ball from Juan Agudelo to put the Red Bulls up 1-0 to go into the half.

The goal was New York's only real chance of the half as the FC Dallas defense and midfield have shut down the Red Bulls to maintain the bulk of the possession.

Dallas has seen plenty of chances from Maicon Santos. The Brazilian forward at least six decent chances on Frank Rost's goal. Santos had one chance that hit off the post, two that sailed over and one that went right to Rost. Ricardo Villar has also done well to create some early chances for the home side.

New York is without stars Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez in this one as both didn't make the trip for various reasons.
