Manchester United have been thoroughly outplayed for almost all of the first half of their match against Chelsea, but they find themselves up 2-0 through 38 minutes. This second goal, scored by Nani, was an absolutely screamer. Running with the ball, cutting in from the left flank, Nani unleashed an absolute screamer at the top corner and bulged the back of the net.

While the finish was incredible, the defending was atrocious. Juan Mata made almost no attempt to slow down Nani's run, and once the United winger was easily past him, John Terry made almost no attempt to step up and close him down. Nani had all of the time and room in the world to take a shot, and he knew exactly what to do with the opportunity.
It almost goes without saying that the difference between these two teams has been finishing so far. Chelsea have actually had more quality opportunities to score than United have, but they’ve failed to convert while United have finished their chances brilliantly.
