With Poland automatically qualified for Euro 2012 and Mexico still a few months away from the start of World Cup 2014 qualifying, this international break is a good opportunity for both teams to get some experience against another quality team. It's a home game for Poland at the national stadium, adding an additional challenge for El Tri. They will be slight favorites to win, though, as they will have their entire first choice XI and key reserves that guided them to a Gold Cup victory.

'Chicharito' Javier Hernandez returns to the side after suffering a concussion, while the players previously suspended for drugs have been cleared of any wrongdoing and return to the team. This means that Guillermo Ochoa will re-claim his spot in goal, while 'Maza' Fransisco Rodriguez is expected to take the starting central defense spot away from El Tri legend Rafael Marquez.
Poland will provide very strong opposition, with four of their biggest stars expected to play regular minutes in the UEFA Champions League this season. Striker Robert Lewandowski and winger ‘Kuba’ Jakub Błaszczykowski helped guide Borussia Dortmund to a Bundesliga title last year, while central midfielder Ludovic Obraniak helped Lille to a Ligue 1 title. Between the posts is rising star Wojciech Szczęsny, who has somehow convinced rabid Arsenal fans to stop screaming at Arsene Wenger about purchasing a new goalkeeper.
