The 2014 World Cup may still be almost three years away, but qualifying has already started in CONCACAF. The region’s big players won’t start playing until June 2012, but there are still some interesting match-ups in the second round, which started on Friday. Among the teams in this stage of qualifying are Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.

Canada will kick off with a match against tiny St. Lucia, and coach Stephen Hart has called in some of the country's bigger names. Dwayne De Rosario, Julian De Guzman and PSV Eindhoven's Atiba Hutchinson are all on the roster to face off against the 187th ranked team in the world. Canada's group also includes Puerto Rico, who they'll play next, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. The winner of that group, as well as the five other group winners, will then move on to the third stage of qualifying where they'll join the United States, Mexico, Honduras, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Cuba.
