UEFA Europa League 2011, Matchday 2: Final Scores, PSG Stumble While Fulham Impress

Matchday 2 of the 2011-12 UEFA Europa League is in the books, and this one had a few more surprises. Paris St. Germain were soundly defeated by Athletic Bilbao as Marcelo Bielsa got the wolves off his back and saved his job, Tottenham Hotspur recovered from early embarrassment, Fulham put in a great performance, and Celtic gave away two points late at home.

Anderlecht pulled off arguably the most impressive result of the round, winning 2-0 away to Spartak Moscow. Fulham’s 2-0 win away to Odense was just about as impressive, with Andy Johnson scoring both goals. American international Jozy Altidore scored yet another goal for AZ Alkmaar in their 1-1 draw agaist Metalist Kharkiv, with former Copa Libertadores hero Taison grabbing the goal for the home side. Club Brugge kept up their impressive start to the season, both domestically and in Europe, with a 2-1 win over Braga, while Schalke and Twente were both big winners. Here are the complete scores from Matchday 2.
