Always one of the biggest draws in the world, Brazil will take their show on the road as they announced two European friendlies and three more in the United States to be played in the first half of 2012. Full houses are expected to welcome the Seleção for all five matches, highlighted by clashes against the U.S., Mexico and Argentina on American soil in the summer.

Brazil will play five friendlies in the first half of 2012, two in Europe and three in the United States, as they continue preparations for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil


Brazil's summer slate begins on May 26 in Hamburg, Germany when they take on Denmark, who will be wrapping up preparation for Euro 2012. After that, the Seleção will hop across the pond for three matches in the United States. First up will be the U.S. in either Boston or Washington D.C. on May 30 or 21. A trip to Dallas and Cowboys Stadium will follow for a tilt with Mexico before they head back to the northeast for a match against rivals Argentina at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
The Seleção will also make make use of the February FIFA international date by playing Bosnia and Herzegovina in Switzerland on February 28. It marks the last international date on the calendar until the end of the European season when Brazil gets plenty busy.
As hosts of the 2014 World Cup, Brazil gets a berth into the tournament and don't need to qualify, leaving them of open dates to fill and hese five friendlies will keep them booked through the first half of the year. They are trying to rebound from a disappointing quarterfinal exit from last summer's Copa America and manager Mano Menezes has to figure out how to turn their fantastic talent of Neymar, Alexandre Pato, Paulo Henrique Ganso, Thiago Silva and Dani Alves into a top team.
