Tottenham Hotspur Acquire Louis Saha From Everton

Tottenham Hotspur have addressed their concern at striker - ish. Spurs have confirmed the signing of former Manchester United forward Louis Saha from Everton for an undisclosed (although presumably very low) fee. Saha, made completely redundant by the Toffees' purchase of Nikica Jelavic, is out of contract at the end of the season and there's no news on him signing a new deal, so the hope for his new team would be that he's not any worse than Roman Pavlyuchenko, who's expected to leave for Russia fairly shortly.

Whether Saha is still a Premier League player is an open question, but this looks like the acquisition of a warm body more than an impact buy. Emmanuel Adebayor is their number one guy, and if they have to play Saha as a centre forward for an extended period of time, Tottenham are only a little bit less screwed than they would have been if they'd gone on an extended run of Pavlyuchenko. I supposed there's the off chance that he miraculously improves at White Hart Lane, but don't count on it.
