VIDEO: Man Handcuffs Himself To Goalpost At Goodison Park

Occupy goalpost? That is a new one, but something similar to it (or maybe an creepily intense goalpost hug) went on Tuesday at Goodison Park where a man jumped out of the stands and handcuffed himself to the goalpost during Everton's match against Manchester City. That is not a joke and it didn't appear to be a joke to the man either, who appeared agitated and very angry when stewards and police made their way over to him after he handcuffed himself. It was not apparent exactly what statement the man was trying to make or what he was protesting, but he did manage to delay the match for almost five minutes.

Eventually, the police were able to use bolt-cutters to break the man’s handcuffs and get him off of the pitch, which proved to be unfortunate for Manchester City. There is no word on whether the goalpost will file assault charges.
