Borussia Dortmund has announced via their official club website that they have reached an agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach to purchase star attacking midfielder Marco Reus at the end of the season. According to numerous media sources, Dortmund will pay a transfer fee of €17.5 million for the German international. Borussia Mönchengladbach, Reus’ current team, is still in contention for a UEFA Champions League spot, which likely factored into their decision to not let him leave until the end of the season.
Borussia Dortmund To Sign Marco Reus From Borussia Mönchengladbach At Conclusion Of Bundesliga Season
Marco Reus will transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund at the conclusion of the Bundesliga season.

Reus was instrumental in Gladbach’s escape from relegation last season and has been arguably the top performer in the Bundesliga so far this season. Leading an inexpensively constructed and underdog Gladbach side, he’s scored 10 goals from an attacking midfield position to lead them to fourth place in the league at the winter break.
As good as Reus is, he’ll have plenty of competition for spots at Dortmund. Shinji Kagawa is starting to come back into form, Robert Lewandowski can play behind a striker as well as in a No. 9 spot, and playmaker Mario Götze is quickly emerging as one of the world’s biggest young stars.
Reus is currently in the Germany setup, and is expected to be in Joachim Löw’s squad for Euro 2012 if he keeps up his current form.
