West Bromwich Albion will be without their captain Chris Brunt for up to 10 weeks with a right ankle fracture, adding to the Baggies' injury woes. Brunt suffered the injury against Everton on New Year's Day when he fell awkwardly late in the match and he underwent surgery on Friday to repair the ankle that will see him sidelined until at least mid-March.
West Brom Captain Chris Brunt To Miss 8-10 Weeks After Ankle Surgery
West Brom will be without their captain until at least mid-March after he underwent surgery to repair a fractured ankle on Friday

A West Brom statement read: “Chris Brunt will undergo surgery tomorrow after scans confirmed he fractured his right ankle against Everton. He will be out for between eight to 10 weeks.”
With Zoltan Gera set to miss the remainder of the season after undoing knee surgery and Shane Long battling a bad back, West Brom have more than their fair share of injury problems, but Youssouf Mulumbu could return this weekend against Norwich City after dealing with a groin problem, giving the Baggies a small bright spot. Even so, it is expected that manager Roy Rodgson will have to dip into the transfer market. He had already expressed his desire to bring in a player after Gera was ruled out for the season and Brunt's injury should seal the deal on the Baggies' transfer activity.
