His remarks came in response to the FA's finding in the case against his teammate, John Terry, where they questioned the truthfulness of Cole's testimony in support of Terry. Cole responded with a tweet reading "Hahahahaa, well done #fa I lied did I, #BUNCHOFTWATS."

Ashley Cole has been fined £90,000 for remarks made on his Twitter account that were critical of the FA.

While £90,000 isn't much of a fine for Cole, it should be enough to make him think about whether or not he should criticize the FA publicly. The incident doesn't appear to have affected his England career, as he was selected by Roy Hodgson for England's recent World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.
On the same day that the fine was handed down, news came out that Terry is not expected to appeal the FA's decisionin the case regarding his alleged racist abuse of Anton Ferdinand.
