Two howlers from Chelsea players allowed Manchester United to go in to the locker room at halftime with a 2-1 lead.
United didn’t look particularly dangerous at any point but they did have two dangerous free kick opportunities just outside the Cheslea box, both of which they wasted. So of course, United scored first.

Chelsea and Manchester United gear up for rematch

Shaun BotterillAlthough both managers are likely to have placed the competition at the bottom of their priority list, the ill feeling from Sunday’s clash combined with the rivalry of the two teams should make for a fiercely-competitive game, and even with weakened sides, both squads are deep enough to still field hugely talented lineups. Let’s just hope that the referee does a better job than Mark Clattenburg.
