Roberto Mancini has sent out his standard lineup with only one adjustment in the defense. Matija Nastasić starts alongside Vincent Kompany with Joleon Lescott still suffering from a back injury. Maicon replaces Pablo Zabaleta as the right fullback.
Manchester City vs. Aston Villa: Lineups
Aston Villa will try and bounce back from last week's disappointing collapse against Manchester United with the same lineup on the pitch. Christian Benteke is the lone striker, with Darren Bent still not back from an ankle injury. Paul Lambert has used this lineup as both a 4-2-3-1 and a 4-4-2 so he'll likely shift things around depending on situation and need.
