Oscar Boniek Garcia scored a first-half goal to give the Houston Dynamo a 1-0 lead over D.C. United in the first half of the second leg of the the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday. The Dynamo also hold a 4-1 aggregate-goal lead with just 45 minutes left to play.

Already facing a two-goal deficit to start the match, United came out pressing for an early goal. Although they dominated possession, they were unable to get on the scoreboard.
Instead, it was the Dynamo who struck first when Brad Davis set up Garcia's goal in the 34th minute. Adam Moffat helped set up the goal when he found Davis with a through ball that Davis controlled near the endline. The midfielder then hit a left-footed pass with the outside of his boot to Garcia, who was streaking in from the top of the penalty area. Garcia hit it first time, blasting it past Bill Hamid from virtually point-blank range.
