CFR Cluj vs. Braga: Preview and TV schedule

Braga travel to Romania to face CFR Cluj as they bid to avenge their defeat in the reverse fixture, with the second qualification place in Group H still wide open.

New Cluj manager Paulo Sergio will be hopeful of gaining a victory against his compatriots when Braga travel to Romania tonight.

Braga suffered defeat in the home fixture as Cluj left with an impressive victory, but the Portuguese side have regained their form since then, and after being unlucky to get nothing from their two games against Manchester United, will be determined not to slip up in Romania. Braga boss José Peseseiro said: “We will be up against a very strong opponent again, and I don’t think they will catch us unawares as they did in the home fixture. We have learned our lesson.”

With the last place very much up for grabs in the group between Cluj, Braga, and Galatasaray, it should be an entertaining spectacle with both teams hoping to win. However, although Gala have a tough test against Manchester United, they do have the home advantage, and with United fielding a weakened team having already qualified, neither side can afford to take anything for granted.
